The five-digit code: how it works and how to change it

The code is how fans reach your page. Here’s what to know.

What it is

Five digits, from 00000 to 99999. Zeros at the start count: 04821 and 4821 are two different things. Veylyn doesn’t hand out codes that are too obvious, like 00000 or 12345.

Changing it

In the studio press “New code” whenever you like: for example if the code is going around where you didn’t want it. The new one works at once, the old one stops at once, and whoever came in with the old one has to come back in. Remember to update the stories and posts where you wrote it.

On some plans you can pick the digits yourself, for a code that’s easy to remember.

Extra codes

On some plans you can have more codes besides the main one, for example one per story or channel. You give each a name, an end date or a maximum number of entries, and switch it on or off whenever you like. In your numbers you see how many people came in with each.

Pausing the page

If you want to close the page for a while, pause it: whoever types the code gets the same answer as a wrong code. You reopen it with one tap, with the same code.

Wrong tries

After a few wrong codes in a row, entry from that connection stops for a quarter of an hour. Nothing changes for people with the right code.

Veylyn is being tested with a few creators. We’ll write when we open.
